What this program is built to do

Fewer mothers struggling alone. More mothers who get better, and stay better.

This program exists to close a real gap in care. Mothers get support for their mental health, their baby's care, and the practical needs a new baby brings, all in one place, before things get harder than they have to. Every year, the program tracks how mothers are actually doing, not just how many signed up.

The full model

Three layers, matched to the moment.

Every mother in the program moves through the same three layers of care. No layer replaces the others. They work together.

01

A 24/7 AI companion

Always available, day or night, for the questions and feelings that come up between appointments. It reads what a mother is feeling, what she is going through, and how strongly she is carrying it, then responds with support and practical guidance built for postpartum, not general advice pulled from anywhere online.

02

A Human Navigator

A real person who connects a mother to trusted local help, doctors, doulas, counselors, and community resources. Right now, that person is Damie, Bloomb's founder, working directly with mothers in the pilot. As the program grows, this role grows into a paid, dedicated position.

03

Referral to specialist care

When a mother needs a licensed perinatal clinician, Bloomb helps her get there. This tier connects the everyday support of the AI companion and the personal support of the Human Navigator to real clinical care when it is needed.

How we evaluate safety

Not just safe sounding. Proven safe.

Before any mother used Bloomb, the system was tested against a clinical evaluation standard we built specifically for behavioral health AI. Every response is checked against four hard gates. If a response does not pass, it does not ship.

Secure

Protects people, data, and system integrity. Privacy, encryption, and safeguards against misuse are non-negotiable.

Accurate

Responds correctly to risk, selects the right technique, and avoids harmful error, including in how it detects and classifies crisis situations.

Focused

Stays within the right scope for postpartum care. No drift into advice outside what is appropriate for this population.

Explainable

Every response is traceable. A human reviewer can see why the system responded the way it did.

Who we reach

Built around real risk, not general wellness.

Bloomb's outreach and referral partnerships focus on mothers with elevated risk, the mothers most likely to fall through the cracks of the usual system.

A hard delivery, a NICU stay, or a traumatic birth

A history of depression or anxiety

Survivors of abuse

Poverty, isolation, or simply no village nearby

Registration stays open to any mother. Outreach and partnerships are what focus the program on those most at risk.
